Our History
In 1964, the Oneida Area Arts Council was organized by Dr. John Macauley and several other local residents to bring a variety of cultural events to our hometown. In the 35 years since, over 160 different performances have graced our stage.

Currently, the Oneida Area Arts Council is governed by a board of volunteers from Oneida and the surrounding communities. It is a non-profit organization receiving financial aid from the New York State Council on the Arts as well as businesses and private individuals in the area.
We strive to present the best variety of entertainment available to our season ticket holders. Performances have ranged from Arthur Fiedler conducting the Syracuse Symphony to Hal Hobrook's one man show "Mark Twain Tonight" to Jamie Farr in "The Odd Couple." We typically stage between three and five different shows a season in the Oneida High School auditorium.
